Arran is the place for folk music!

Fiddlers'The Fiddlers Music Bar & Bistro is a popular venue with music nearly every night. Drop in and see who is playing, or come on a Sunday afternoon for a jam session and join in with your own instrument. Regulars The  Arran Ceilidh Band play every week. Check out other events on Arran.

Winter Golf in Ayrshire

St_Nicks_11thgreenWhile many golf courses are closed with the recent wet weather, the Ayrshire coast has provided excellent playing conditions recently. In particular the last two Saturdays have been stunning, with bright blue skies, blue sea and the snow clad peaks of Goat Fell on Arran.

Many of the private clubs will accept visitors at the weekend – why not have a weekend in Ayrshire, stay overnight and fit in a game or two.

Alloway village – Robert Burns Cottage

Poet’s Corner is a little coffee shop across the road from the cottage with home baking and light lunches – well worth dropping in.
